Romanesque Abbey, Red Marble and underground world

At the foot of the “black mountain”, enjoy a visit to the superb Caunes Minervois benedictine abbey and its remarkable chevet. Then wander around the narrow streets of this delightful medieval village, very famous for its red incarnat marble used not only in the village works of art and in the Abbey but also in the Louvre in Paris , Versailles castle or the Sixtine chapell in Roma .Afterwards we ‘ll take a picturesque little road to reach Limousis for a guided visit of a the largest cave in the Aude county, made up of eight chambers and a large number of concretions. An exceptional luster aragonite is unique in the world for its size and by its beauty . And last but nos least treat yourself with a wine tasting of a Minervois AOP wine aged in oak barrels in the grotto
